The heart of the village harbours a jewel of Romanesque art: the priory church of the 12th century which the porch is registered as a listed building in France. Its steeple covered with glazed tiles representing a card game is surprising.

The village is a Mecca of chestnut production, with its chestnut groves on hillsides, which catered Paris by the royal road and which are traded in the market with chestnuts, became municipal property.
